PREPARE NOW FOR H-1B CASES:

It's never too early to begin preparing H-1B cases for filing under the cap i.e. on April 1, 2010, for employment in H-1B status on October 1, 2010. 

Given the heightened scrutiny applied by the USCIS to new H-1B cases, in addition to the new pre-filing requirements (federalized prevailing wage determinations & iCert submissions of the Labor Condition Applications), there is a significant increase in the time required to prepare an H-1B case.

GREEN CARD LOTTERY UPDATE: 

The Diversity Visa (green card lottery) for 2011 is now closed.  

Successful applicants will be notified by MAIL, not email, between May and July of 2010. Those not selected will not receive any notification.  Applicants are selected by a computer on an entirely random basis.

At the time of notification, the applicants will be provided with further information regarding the next steps and relative feesinvolved.
