About Anna Potter:

Anna Potter is a Senior Attorney at McEntee Law Group.

Anna’s personal ties to immigration drive her passion for her work. She strives to bring a personal and empathetic touch to her clients while providing stellar legal guidance.

Anna is the proud daughter of immigrants. She was born in Canada and came to the U.S. with her family as a child. Anna went through the U.S. naturalization process while in university.

Anna’s practice covers the full spectrum of business immigration law. She has a broad base of experience in non-immigrant visa matters (including O-1A/B, H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, H-1B1) and immigrant visa matters (including the full PERM labor certification process, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and AOS).

Anna has represented a diverse range of employers from brand new start-ups to established multinational corporate clients. Her experience spans a wide range of industries including technology, biotechnology, marketing, food science, and fashion. She further specializes in advising clients on the employee experience, compliance and risk management, and scaling immigration programs to match company growth efficiently and responsibly.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor from University of California Hastings, College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco) and her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Irvine. She was awarded the CALI and Witkin Excellence awards for earning the top marks in Refugee & Human rights Law, International & Foreign Legal Research, and Comparative Law. Anna is a member of the State Bar of California.

Prior to joining McEntee Law Group, Anna worked at a mid-size immigration law firm as an Attorney managing dozens of corporate clients of various sizes. She then moved to advise a large national company as an in-house immigration advisor. When she is not practicing law, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their rescue dog. She is also an avid reader and baker. Anna speaks conversational Farsi and French.
