USCIS has received enough petitions needed to reach the 65,000 H-1B visa regular cap and the 20,000 master’s cap, for fiscal year (FY) 2023. This means there will not be a second H-1B cap lottery this year. USCIS has now sent all non-selection notifications to registrants. The online status for all properly submitted registrations that were not selected will now show:
- Not Selected: Not selected – not eligible to file an H-1B cap petition based on this registration.
USCIS will continue to accept and process H-1B petitions that are otherwise exempt from the cap, such as petitions for extension, change of employment terms, change of employer, and concurrent employment. If you were not selected for this fiscal year and want to explore alternative options, please contact us to schedule a consultation.
